During my educational career I gained experience in the field of Applied Microbiology. I completed my PhD from Quaid-I-Azam University, Islamabad while focusing on of biofuels and bioenergy. My research was more specific to enhanced production of biofuels from Sugar Industry Waste. I also worked in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular engineering, The University of Tennessee, USA, where I learned different techniques, such as chemical determination, structural and compositional analysis of lignocellulosic biomass. I gained experience in the field of biofuels with the command on various chemical and biological pretreatment techniques to deconstruct a variety of biological polymers.


Teaching Experience and Highlights:

Prior to my post-doctoral position I had also worked as Assistant Professor in Department of Microbiology, Women University Mardan. I have been teaching at various other reputable institutes of Islamabad i.e. AIOU and PMAS Arid Agriculture University, where I taught various courses of Microbiology (Industrial Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, General Microbiology, Principals of Biochemical Engineering) at graduate and post graduate levels.



Currently I am working as a Post-doctoral research fellow at Alpha Genomics (PVT) Limited, where my field of interest includes microbial genomics specifically related to yeast. My project includes whole genome analysis for yeast. I also deliver academic lectures and microbial lab demonstrations.
